The Metro Connection
Wednesday, May 8th, at West 48 in West Des Moines, IA.
5:30PM – 8:00PM
This event will facilitate connections between leaders of various Young Professional (YP) groups in the Des Moines Metro. Lisa Even, founder of “Rising Tides” and author of “Joy is my Job,” will lead attendees through networking, connecting, and leadership exercises. Those in attendance will include current and future leaders of the Des Moines Metro; with a focus on the Ankeny, West Des Moines, Urbandale, Waukee, and YPEP organizations.

Our Mission
Each regional YP organization dedicates their resources to providing opportunities for leadership development and involvement directly in their communities. Bryce Verlinden and Joseph Herst have identified a desire within these groups to foster connections between these communities and their emerging leaders.
Our Goal
At the end of this event, attendees will have new connections with other regional leaders to continue productive dialog and partnership opportunities that contribute to their professional development and community engagement.

Sponsorship Requirements
Iowa State University – Ivy College of Business will provide approved marketing logo to be used at the event
Sponsorship Benefits
- Named Presenting Sponsor of event with logo prominently displayed on all marketing materials for the event
- Maximum of 10 minutes given to share message toattendees at beginning of the facilitated event portion.
- Ability to have table and materials at event itself along with maximum of three representatives of Iowa State University participate as attendees at no additional cost
- West YP, AYP, genYP, YPEP, and Waukee YP will provide a “thank you” social media post to their followers thanking Iowa State University – Ivy College of business for the sponsorship
- Maximum of 5 minutes at the end of the facilitated event portion to thank attendees, speak again on behalf of the University
- Iowa State University – Ivy College of Business will have mailing addresses of all attendees at “The Metro Connection” taking place on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024
